Be the Mayor for a Day!

Have an interest in local government? Want to see what it would be like to be the Mayor for the day? Now is your chance!

We are looking for a student (in grades 7 to 12) to live the day in the life of Mayor Ostrander on Friday, October 13th.

Highlights from your day with the Mayor will include:

• an inauguration ceremony in our Council Chambers,
• a tour of Municipal facilities,
• lunch at a Brighton restaurant of your choice and,
• attending a Grand Opening Ceremony at a local business.

Our Mayor for the Day will also have the opportuntiy to participate in the October 16th Council Meeting.

To apply, students must complete the application form below and also:

• be a resident of Brighton
• be in grades 7 to 12 and,
• have permission from a parent/guardian to apply if not over the age of 18. 

Applications are due September 22nd and our successful Mayor for the Day will be contacted by October 1st.
