Apply to be a Vendor in The Shed @ King Ed
The Shed at King Ed is an exciting Pop-Up retail opportunity coordinated by the Municipality of Brighton. This project is aimed at supporting our local entrepreneurs in the development and growth of their business while creating a vibrant experience that showcases Brighton to our residents and beyond.
The Shed is seeking pop-up businesses/services that will enhance the experience of park visitors. Ideal pop-up vendors include equipment rentals and sales, activity/event related services, clothing and goods retailers, fitness instructors, craft producers and grab-and-go snacks/drinks. Charities, not-for-profit businesses, sports teams and other community organizations are also welcome at The Shed.
Applications will be reviewed by the Municipality of Brighton Economic Development Staff who will select businesses to be vendors based on:
- Quality and completeness of application
- Alignment/value of proposition (i.e., the alignment of vendor’s business to enhance economic and recreational activity in Brighton and create a hub of interest)
- Demonstrated ability of vendor to deliver on proposed products or services
- Marketing and promotion plans
Please Note:
Applications to be a vendor in The Shed @ King Ed are processed on an ongoing basis. For first choice of dates, please be sure to get in your application early. Preference will be given to local vendors from Brighton in addition to Northumberland, Hastings and Prince Edward Counties. Municipality of Brighton Staff reserve the right to use their professional judgement to select businesses based on criteria listed above.
Exclusivity of the sale of specific products/goods by vendors is not guaranteed. Every effort will be made to place and schedule vendors to avoid potential overlap.
Successful applicants will be required to sign a Lease Agreement with The Corporation of the Municipality of Brighton.
